Urban Forests
Urban forests are defined as a collection of trees within cities and metropolitan areas. These include trees within parks, gardens, greenways, along streets, and more. Urban forests can provide a variety of ecological, economic, and social benefits, including clean air, reduced energy costs, stormwater management, providing outdoor recreational spaces, and increasing property value and aesthetics. Just like trees in more rural areas, urban trees need care to remain healthy and productive.
